According to Yelp, as of August 163,735 businesses have indicated on Yelp that they have closed, and by April, 16 million Americans filed unemployment claims. Maybe you are part of the group that lost their job during the pandemic, and you don’t know whether you will get a job.

According to Glassdoor, employers added 245,000 jobs as Americans continued to flow back into the labor force. Jobs were posted this year, meaning that some companies are still hiring. So how can you get to interview for one of those jobs during the pandemic?

Here are methods that you can use.

Reach out to your network

This is the time to reach out to friends, family, colleagues, managers, and experts from different industries. Contact them and let them know that you are searching for a job, and be specific on the type of job you want.

If you specify in detail what kind of job you want, they are more likely to remember you are searching for a job and recommend you to companies.
